Her academic skills have flourished alongside her passion for learning, culminating in her outstanding dissertation performance. Ruby’s research explored perceived differences in skills between hospitality graduates and non-graduates – a timely and thought-provoking topic that reflects both academic rigour and industry relevance. At Cardiff Met, we are incredibly proud of all of Ruby’s achievements , including the CHME award. Well done Ruby!

CHME Student of the Year – Edinburgh Napier University – Amy Howlett, International Hospitality Management graduate. Amy recently graduated from the International Hospitality Management programme at Edinburgh Napier University with a Frist Class Honours degree. Amy also won the Class Medal for the highest
performing student in her cohort. Not only did Amy receive the highest performing accolade in her 4th Year, but in every year of her programme. This is a fantastic achievement and showed consistent levels of critical engagement, insight and professionalism throughout her studies. Amy also received a distinction for her dissertation which focused on the impact of emotional labour in the hospitality sector. Amy is currently taking a break and planning a trip to Australia – we wish her every success in her future career opportunities and hope she keeps in touch with Edinburgh Napier University.
